Our Egypt project has had to have its due date postponed due to a project with which we are going to be involved. Ms. Kine is doing some lessons on Social Responsibility in Literature with the students but her only available time is this week. This will move our Egypt essay and project due date to next week. Projects should be brought to school by Wednesday May 6. Students will need to complete a five paragraph research essay and their choice of either a model, Power Point Presentation, or poster to be displayed in class or in the hall display case. Most students have a good start on their essays in the computer lab at school and if they need to work on them at home, should bring in a flash drive or access their work by following the directions on the Southgate web site for accessing the H drive from home.
These paragraphs are due tomorrow and students have an outline which needs to be filled out to assist them in organizing their work.
Tomorrow’s test includes these very challenging words:
Remember you had the choice of ten or twenty words and it is better to spell 10 correctly than to try 20 and get half of them wrong. On the other hand, if you are a strrong speller, go for it!

The class did an amazing job on their Social Studies tests last week. On a test out of 30, everyone scored in the 20’s! Excellent work you awesome Grade Sevens!
This is a fun and active way for students to practice and sudy for a test. We will be playing Jeopardy in our class tomorrow so students will be aware of definitions they need to study and know for the test.
