We have finished the oral opinion presentations (for most kids) and overall I was very impressed with how well students were able to express their opinions and back them up with evidence or research from informal opinion polls, or on-line research. Most students also did very well in recognizing the opposite opinion.

Yesterday we chose words for this week’s spelling test which will be on Friday. Students may choose ten or twenty words depending on their spelling confidence and a few may work on five if spelling is a super challenge for them.

We discussed and made notes from the text on primary and seconday sources as well as the definitions of evolution and creationism.(7-4’s this was yesterday for you)
We did NOT do any spelling words. We will do these tomorrow and they will be mini-lists as we have only two days to look at them.

No homework except to catch up on the notes from a classmate: Origin of Humans. Notes are on board and I will leave them there for tomorrow. Please copy them into your Socials Section as soon as you get to class.

If you missed today you missed some discussion and binder organization time and book exchange We did not get to the notes but will be doing them tomorrow.
